DUI on the ice road

A woman was arrested on the Kuskokwim River trail for driving while under the influence, said the Alaska State Troopers. On 2/18/2017 at about 1431 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Bethel received a report of an intoxicated driver leaving the village of Akiachak in a black Jeep Patriot. Troopers contacted the vehicle and its driver, 32 year old Fannie Snyder, on the Kuskokwim River trail near Bethel. Investigation revealed Snyder was under the influence of alcohol when she was driving the vehicle. Three children were also in the vehicle with her. Snyder provided a breath sample with a breath alcohol content of .152 at 1537 hours. Troopers remanded Snyder to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center on charges of Driving Under the Influence and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor in the First Degree. Snyder was later released on her own recognizance.
