Kongiganak Lady Wolverines going into 1A tournament with 13-0 record

The Kongiganak Wolverine girls basketball team is on a roll with their 13-0 record this basketball season. They will be headed into the 1A Coastal Conference coming up this week. Joining them at the tournament will be teams from Kasigluk-Akiuk, Chefornak, Kwigillingok, Newtok, Kwethluk, Napaskiak, and Toksook Bay.

The Scammon Bay girls are the only other 1A girls team in the state that has a perfect record this year, they are 21-0 going into the Yukon Delta Conference tournament.

The Kasigluk-Akiuk boys team has a 11-2 record and Toksook boys are at 11-5. Both teams have earned berths at the 1A Alaska Coastal Conference tournament. Other boys teams at the tournament are Nunapitchuk, Kwigillingok, Chefornak, Tuntutuliak, Atmautluak, and Kipnuk.

Opening night of March Madness begins on Thursday with games starting at 8:45am. All games will take place at the Home of the Warriors.
